It is for people who are committed to choosing a career direction that provides them both personal satisfaction and success. One-on-one coaching and counseling with a senior Rockport staff member guides you through all the steps that will enable you to reach the best possible decisions about all aspects of your present and future career situation The program uses the Rockport Career Design Method, which has been road tested successfully with thousands of Career Choice Program clients and widely commended for effectiveness.
Since 1981 Career Choice Clients have been asking and answering the question, “what does it take to select ‘a career I will love’ or ‘a career that fits me perfectly’”? The answer is that it fits you, a unique one-of-a-kind individual. It is a perfect match with your natural talents and abilities, your personality, your values. It provides meaning and purpose to your life. It supports achieving your most important goals. It takes place in an environment that supports you to be your best. It is practical and achievable.
In this program, you will get a clear picture of everything that really matters. You will work progressively, in a step-by-step manner, considering, researching and answering all the questions you need to resolve to make the best decisions. Instead of just sorting out preferences, you will go much farther, defining and choosing specific, definite elements of your future work.
As you go through the program, you will become increasingly clear about what will be the best fit for you. Then we will help you put all the pieces together to select potential careers/jobs that fit these definite specifications. Finally, after some research, with our coaching, you narrow it down and make a final selection–a career that fits you perfectly and is also practical and realistic. You will make a clear-cut, practical decision about what you will do with your life and what definite, concrete steps it will take to attain the goals you have set during the program.
The Career Choice Program consists of a series of consulting appointments, done in-person or over the phone, depending on your location, with assignments to complete between sessions. The material covered in each session is tailored to your unique situation.
